Iyanla Vanzant & IBWPPI on Capitol Hill, The devastation in Haiti continues...

IBWPPI will convene hearings and discussions to identify and support sustainable women leadership models that Haitian women's organizations have been developing for years.

The nation's infrastructure is in shambles, the rebuilding of Haitian society over the coming years and in the midst of emergency reconstruction efforts provides the opportunity to make the emergence of women's leadership and their crucial role a priority now.

IBWPPI will be working with Haitian Women Leaders, U.S. based women's organizations and women's circles to build sustainable models of leadership that will help to restore the lives of the Haitian people in the coming years.

Chilling, Impacting One-Woman Play "The Bridge of Bodies " continues to support the cause in Haiti...

30 plus days later after the Earth quake in Haiti and the dust has settled, the media's attention is off Haiti, but we Haitian Americans continue to support the cause in our country. Tonight I covered The Bridge of Bodies is a one-woman, 16 character play, Which gave me chills and brought me back to my homeland, this play tells the tale of Marie-Therese, a college student who has little recollection of why she and her mother immigrated to the United States so long ago. Plagued with nightmares and a need to know the truth about what happened, Marie-Therese returns to her native country of Haiti to put together the pieces of the puzzle of her past. The Bridge of Bodies is performed in English, French and Haitian Creole.Written and Performed by Kathleen Gonzales, Directed by Patrick Crowley. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE REBUILDING CAUSE IN HAITI!
